When you are looking for a method

Start in the Method Catalog when you roughly know what you are looking for. Use recommendation when you can describe a situation, goal, or working question.

  • The catalog works well when search terms, categories, tags, or method forms are known.
  • Recommendation works well when goal, phase, time, team size, and context matter more than a concrete method name.
  • Both paths lead to the same destination: a method profile you can review and apply.

Tip: If you are unsure, start with recommendation and describe your situation in one or two sentences of free text.

When you first want to explore

Topics, atlas, and visuals let you explore the catalog without a concrete search query. This works well for scouting a field of work or browsing.
